I wouldn't say she lost to robocco, it's more like Gozaru would have to completely destroy her in order to beat her which she doesn't want to do yet. And it's also more like genjutsu and illusions don't faze AI robots so if she does fight Robocco for real, Pon bot is going to be sent to the scrap beat like how Vegeta destroyed Andriod 19. So yes, robots would be the only counter against Gozaru's tricky genjutsu abilities, but then you have to actually get through Gozaru's true fighting power which is in another level above.
