She refuses to change because she thinks it would be a "betrayal" of her identity or who she is. This happens a lot with kids who were losers and bullied when they were younger. Not to mention she hangs out with TT faggots who say things like "Hololive is instant success". She addresses this in Mountaintop, with the "little Miss Company hire" line. Her greatest fear is that these people are right and that people only like her because of Hololive. She can't separate her work life and her personal life, to her, she only has to have one life or else she'll be "fake". But again the reality is, people like Mori Calliope which yes, is one part the anime girl avatar and the Hololive brand name, but also part the woman behind them. Neither of them can be successful without the other, both are integral to success. Mori also is a shit judge of character as evidenced by her hanging out with the indie rap scene which mainly just used her (and she them to her own admission) leading her to believe that friendships were all transactional. End of a Life is her coming (partly) to terms with that, but not completely, she recognizes she's no longer friends with them but doesn't get that if they were real friends, they would have been happy for her success, not resenting it. That's also why she's blind to the TT faggots, she can't accept that she'd make the same mistake again, all this backlash against them must be from bitter trolls. She's afraid if she "changes for Hololive" she won't be herself anymore, when in reality, Hololive was never about putting your whole self out there alone, otherwise why not just stream as yourself without a fake name and avatar? But again she's a fucking retard who can't into shades of gray.

I'm excited! Both for the the animation and Mori's voice! It's got to be a complicated feeling for her because I get that Cover didn't want to seem like it had a "favorite", so they gave the song to an outsider. She wrote and sang something that went outside of her usual comfort zone.
I hope they release an instrumental version so other girls can cover it and we can hear how they would have done it.

I expect Death's apprentice to have a bunch of tricks up her sleeve. Her biggest drawbacks are she isn't really allowed to fight unless there is good reason and she's unlikely to blend in with normal people.

So the big day has now come and passed. The EP is out, merch is announced, more MVs on the way, her age is now No +1. All that buildup and now it's out there.
What comes next? She said herself that there's no other big projects, but I'm fine with that. I can be excited for a normal day if she's part of it and I will feel better knowing she's taking it easy too.
