Vtubers MUST play the role of a cute anime girl with no bf or cuntiness. They MUST always be sweet, pleasing to the ear, or funny because they can't randomly stand up and shake their ass to the viewers. In this way they are a wholesome girlfriend equivalent.
Also Anime is a static thing that takes a team a long time to make, it isn't interactable or real. Vtubers simply need to launch their hololive app and start streaming, its anime come to life. I'm pretty sure many weebs have written an offhand remark in a vtuber's stream thinking not much of it only to have the vtuber respond. To the weeb this fires off neurons and the connection is made that anime is real and she exists at the same time as me.
