They do, but I wouldn't say that's what has prevented me from watching them since I watch the NHK channel a fair bit. I think it's mostly just ease of access.

Hololive feels like McDonalds; easy to get ahold of, reliable, is loved globally and is good enough entertainment. It's ingrained in the algorithim and it only takes a couple of clicks for some easy entertainment.
Nijisanji feels like a curry house; tastes fucking amazing and I want to eat there all the time, but there's no shops for it in my country because everybody just keeps going to McDonalds, meaning I don't really have anyone to talk to about how amazing the Kanda-curry tastes.
I could also just be retarded. Either way I'll defintely be checking out more.
