she's a part of Hoshimeguri. used to be a group that got huge because of ads exposure (Nanana used have the most popular KING cover in her time), but the subs they got were useless and didn't translate to viewers. most of ended up as 2views with 5-digit subs (and Nanana has 135k!)

lesson to take here is never shill yourself through youtube ads.

i think Nanana's is a case of "misplaced advertisement". people subbed to her probably because they thought she's a virtual singer, and that's the only content they expect her to do. the vtuber part of her wasn't advertised that's why they got a false impression of her, they only know her as the "most popular King cover" of her time.

One thing I learned about shilling yourself through ads is that it really doesn't help with exposure and you'll ultimately end up with lots of dead subs and your viewership will never grow. btw, how is his channel doing? I don't check on him despite showing on my ads a couple of times already.
