Okay Mori, you've done some of my favorite MCR songs and MGR.
Next on my wishlist is some DMC songs (leading into gameplay streams) and Maximum The Hormone. Let's hear ya scream!

That's where I'm at too. She's already evolved her sound over the three years and it's been good. I'm not scared of another step being taken because it just adds more tools to her array.

I have faith. Mori is never going to fully ditch rap, that's something dear to her heart and central to her music. She's just developing other skills and building a unique style.

Her rap was never going to appeal to the mainstream and she's made very clear what her inspirations/niche were. Even though she's moving out of that box and into more variety.
Those thinking rap can or should *only* be a black/male/hood thing are narrowminded and if they try to discourage her because she is not those things...well then they proved her older words right. While getting upset at her for calling those criticisms out (And her success has proven them wrong.)

Taste of Death has been looping in my head non-stop too. What a great album opener.

So despite all the doomposting and drama and other nonsense. Things went mostly fine.
Is Mori going to mess up eventually? Maybe, "probably" even. And if/when it does happen I'm sure she will be upset; but the important part is that she gets back and does better. She's had drinks thrown in her face, she's been booed off a stage, she's dealt with other harassment. Anything now is her learning her own limits. One area she should learn is the importance of actual breaks, even if it goes against her every instinct. Like everything else, I have faith in her.

The edge is fitting at some points (and I predict the chuuni song will feature it.) Definitely for earlier where she was using her songs as rejections of the world she saw. Yet even other older songs didn't use it. I am glad that Mori has moved away from it so much, using a singing voice more while still keeping her distinct rap style.

That may not be a bad idea because 2022 has been insane for her already. I'd start getting worried she could run out of ideas or have so many new songs that making a balanced setlist is impossible.

That's one I really like because she has only gotten better delivering the fast bits by very slightly slowing down to clearly speak.

She makes me feel all sorts of positive things in a way few others things can.

Protip: Mori would not dare to neglect choosing pronouns where explicitly given checkboxes on a pronoun-advocating community site because to do so would be interpreted in and of itself as a "counter-virtue-signal" or dogwhistle by the interested parties and as a result people would look up and spread wide the knowledge of her previous tweets where she would frequently, in almost every tweet and sometimes more than once, use the term "nig" with wild abandon and all sorts of applications.

It's fun when it arises organically through months of streaming or fun theorycrafting in the desolate corners of places like here. When all of a sudden you take that novel charm away and it's being shoved down your throat by management in a move that's so at odds with everything that came before, people take issue.
