They noticed gaijins were learning Japanese too quickly so they invented katakana to fuck with them. They also borrowed thousands of English words in sociopathic act of pretending to be accommodating, completely disfigured them before writing them out in that god forsaken excuse of alphabet called katakana and changed meanings of 30% of those just to be extra annoying in case you ever had hope of actually knowing what the word is after figuring out which one it's supposed to correspond with.
