A 2D platformer about Watame. She's not my oshi but I do like her. I have not come up with a plot for the game but I do want know I would want it to be told similarly to Sonic 3 & Knuckles where it's all through the level visuals, backgrounds ,stage transitions, etc. No dialogue or text boxes. Watame would be able to run or expand her wool and become round to roll down slopes, into enemies and have the wool block damage or bounce off surfaces. As well as the type of surface you're rolling on to matter like rolling on a carpet surface building static electricity and letting you double jump, shock enemies, attract collectables, activate things that require electricity etc. Rolling on a surface with a lot of friction that could cause sparks would ignite the wool and give watame a fire effect, fireball-like air dash, and able to burn parts of a stage to reach new paths. It would cause ice to melt slower in levels and distribute weight better across ice platforms. Could skip across water like a pebble being throw over a lake because the outer layer of wool repels water from what I've heard. None of this would be required to beat the levels but it would help find secrets, enhance your mobility, and options. The elemental effects stay even when not rolling if that wasn't clear. Thinking about having the wool be limited in its durability so that you have to think about when and where to use these effects as they damage her wool. Outside of the elemental effects it can be used sort of like a parry against enemies and bosses if you time the expansion of the wool perfectly but if it isn't perfect it would cause damage to the durability. Playing as standard watame while running has benefits like being easier to control, being able to fight physics and not just follow slopes, can maintain her own speed whereas rolling on a flat surface would eventually slow you down, but of course the idea is to swap between the two states for the best results. I would want to base the levels off of hololive characters and settings but I don't have many ideas for those yet. I think this post is long enough already.
