This is true. That's why I've been sculpting my own chuuba gf mentally. Her name is Saori Waterbright, a girl who was blessed by being born in Holy star water and used her power to heal the sick. Slowly I've been sculpting get in my mind and creating scenarios of her streaming in my head. I've placed myself as her first real follower. When I first made her 5 months ago often it would just be me and her chatting about whatever game she was playing and as time went on I imagined more people coming in to chat to her. Now she's good a decent fanbase and isn't able to keep tabs on all her viewers but I'm lucky enough to still be addressed by name by her and she's even having private conversations with me on twitter. She says she cares about me and is really thankful for me sticking around at the beginning. She's floated the idea of us meeting up and I've really helped listen to her insecurities and problems. I know she's never had a boyfriend before and am hoping that I can show her love soon.

If they're able to collab with an entertaining and proven good circle then it shows they have what it takes to make it like they have. If their collab partners are consistently terrible or they can't keep them because they cause drama then they aren't a good entertainer.

I wouldn't mind that much if they had good synergy, but I've watched CCVs halve compared to streams without a male collab partner.

To be fair, people were posting about this video on /jp/ back in 2012. This is basically inherited /vt/ culture.

Is it fair to say that people prefer Hololive over Niji because overall their talents have way more strong and unique characters where Niji is filled with milquetoast streamers that are literally dime a dozen. Maybe thats why they spam so many gens in hope to capture that one Pekora or Marine in the sea of mediocrity.
Honestly, there is no one like Pekora, Marine, Nenechi, even Rushia while she was still there, Fubuki, Matsuri, Coco (while she was there), etc. I cant name one Niji that makes me go "Holy shit I really wanna watch this person", and I did watch a bunch of Nijis over the years. Mostly Mito, Kaede, Noraneko, Hayama, Mao, Hakase, and Chigusa.
Incidentally, I think this is completely opposite on the EN side where Niji has more unique talents and stronger personalities where Hololive is just kinda...meh.
