I did boxing before so very comfortable with skipping. Would still be pretty tricky to double jump for very long though. To the anons trying it, focus on using your wrists to whip the rope faster over jumping higher. You only need a little extra air over a typical skipping rhythm. Once you can get a few in a row, you can focus on keeping rhythm! Yashiro is a great example. Work hard, anons!
