You may have the fanciest model and the craziest design, if you're boring to death, then you're not going anywhere.
Sure, it helps with the initial boost and you'll have more people checking out your stream out of curiosity, but they definitely won't stay if there's nothing interesting going on.
There's a reason you have popular vtubers that are still around, even though their models are extremely generic / weird / simplistic...
Hell, even beyond vtubing, you have many extremely popular streamers that aren't using any facecam or anything on stream, using only their voice to carry themselves.
