She's not alone! I loved the shit out of everything Mushoku Tensei and anticipated each episode weekly. Everything except the fucking main character. It was like, okay could you stop being a complete piece of shit for five seconds? No? Okay then.

The rest of it was great! The characters, the story, the setting. People talk about MT being a progenitor to many copy/pasted isekai and I can see that. MT does a lot of the things that several others do, but it does them with more method and reason while the others cut corners and just say "well MT did this already, so we don't have to". Like Tenchi Muyou, which didn't start the harem genre but was copied heavily in other harem formats, washing out the unnecessary stuff that TM also did (like, y'know plot). So MT shouldn't be blamed for a lot of the shit that followed it, the hack authors who got lazy in an MT-style isekai should be.

But that MC is a piece of trash, yo.
