I said it once and I will say it again. You have to understand that the average male's perspective of attention vastly differs from the average female's perspective of attention. The majority of men go throughout life with roughly no significant acknowledge of their existence a society that views them either as expendable tools at best and loathsome peons at worse, with all of the positive attention preserved for only the top percentage of men. Women, however, are constantly bombarded with unwanted romantic and/or sexual attention almost every given day and are on constant eggshells from dealing with encounters of the opposite gender in perceived fear of becoming another abuse/rape/murder statistic from someone that can easily overpower the majority of them. Both are dehumanized and alienated by modern society, but both are done so in different manners, thus symptoms of this societal born illness is manifested in different ways in both of the genders.
