Honestly no one really knows at this point except her and her closest friends. Her stated reason was for her own privacy. But considering she has been extremely good at not having anything about her personal life except her dogs on her social media, its really unlikely anyone would be able to identify her based just on her voice.
She could just be really self conscience about her stuttering, but her TTS picks that up anyway.
She could be self conscious about her accent. She might be actually hesitant to use her real voice because we know her dad's Mexican, but she never did say what her mom's ethnicity was. She could be half black and just doesn't want to deal with being a black girl in the vtuber space.
She could be a dude, a really feminine girly dude that likes to shake his ass.
Or she is so into the escapism that being a vtuber brings that she prefers to be a robotic British woman instead of her real life self. Considering what we know of her irl life, makes sense.
