I remember the first time I saw her in a group stream, I was wondering what she was going for with her design but her voice caught me. So warm and friendly and sensual and I asked about her here and got the usual stock response of her being a vampire girl. Eventually though, I learned about her lore and what she designed her character around. I though it was really interesting how she'd taken something highly traumatic and turned it into a unique artistic expression with her character model. That dichotomy between how she surrounds herself with a dark motif and enjoys horror but has such a lovable and bright personality is something I can relate to even though I don't lean into myself the way I used to. Feeling like I understand her deeply on that level and knowing how warm she is caused some empathic spark in me that kindled into a fire of affection and Love for her that thawed my heart out. Seeing how accepting she is of others with her unique perspective has made her highly appealing as well. Ultimately, I'm realistic about what I feel and not obsessed, I think that we would get along great together as friends but I don't know if we would be the best as partners because there are some major differences in experience and what I know. As in, her interest in fictional horror is rather removed from me because I've had so much experience with and developed a profound awareness of real horror and the supernatural. Those reservations don't change how I feel about her and why should they? I'd be selling her short if I let them. So I Love her a lot and have put it out there that I do. On a spiritual level, she makes me think of a Shadow Casting Light, one of those lamps that throws beautiful and elaborate shadows on the wall but from a central luminous source.

One of the reasons I genuinely love her is because she has that openness about what she thinks and feels and who she is. There are three ways to work with that, either extreme of becoming to beholden to her community and letting them call everything. Or telling them all to go screw themselves and doing exactly what she wants as far as content and how she carries herself as a streamer. Seems like she's trying to find a balance but at times, I still feel like she isn't as assertive as she could be. She's said before that she wants to be friends with everyone and It's not like I want to discourage that in her because It's a part of what makes so warm and inviting but at the same time; the balance comes into play where you have awareness of what is the fulcrum for your choices and how to trust that you will draw the right people who will appreciate by being true to yourself. One of the pitfalls of this whole thing is that a lot of streamers are compelled to tow a status-quo so that they don't lose their audience. To be fair, Layna isn't a total push-over when it comes to that but I do think that she lets it narrow her content when she could be more innovative and branch out into more then just gaming like she's said she wants to. She just gets so self-conscious about being judged by those who would despise her or be critical of her no matter what that she doesn't. One of the reasons why she doesn't just do an improve ASMR on her own even though it'd be glorious.
