Back then it was only a hypothesis that youtube didn't count inactive windows (tabbed out / minimized) for CCV but that proved as there was no other way for the audience to know (in the exact millisecond it happened) that the stream had restarted unless they were tabbed out.

So, with Marine's B-day stream, it was kept running (no new frame so no waiting room fuckery) and as SOON as they got the recording fixed, we can see a very significant jump of ~30k people over the course of a few minutes right after 13:32. The only thing that would cause people to 'tab back in' as they were no doubt having the stream run in the background but were waiting for the audio to cue them to tab back in.
That, and the oddity of some of the summer-fes numbers which could be explained by how people were definitely running multiple tabs to keep check on the girls (which would explain why the EN girls numbers were wack) and why Gura was so much higher than everyone else as people were likely far more interested in what the JP senpai were going to interact with Gura than the rest of EN.
