This is going to be a rich in-depth analysis discussing the many factors like eg. viral moments etc. On which vtubers contributed the most towards hololives big and unprecedented popularity in the year of 2020. Let's begin.


Gen 0 - Through the power of the N-word. Not only did the E-leech Miko start a trend of vtubers saying the racist gamer word, but Miko was also the very reason behind Cover's obsession on pandering to EoPs.

Gen 1 - Fubuki is undoubtedly the standout trailblazer of this gen. She single handledly Overtook the entirety of Nijisanji by spamming low effort/low quality short meme skits. Fubuki was also the gateway and introduction of vtubers for a lot of newfaggotted anons here.

Gen 2 - Aqua is also the standout trailblazer of her gen. This unrivaled genius onion was smart enough to adapt to the then current trends (which was to Copy Kuzuha & friends) and her presence in hololive made nijiniggers seethe (playing video games without any permissions from devs) The best gamer in hololive desu~

Gen 3 - only Pekora & Marine are the standout trailblazers. Both used to be unremarkable Vtubers at first. But really only shined after Gen4 made their debuts. Other than that. Pekora is a numberfaggot through and through. A clip machine who doesn't pander to anyone (besides numbers) and yet still outshines all of her hololive colleagues. Why? Because she has excellent game selection desu~

Gen 4 - worst gen without Coco. Best gen with Coco desu~. Asacoco was so popular that it attracted Nijinigger tourists, rich old salary man and mid twenties young adults. Meme review was so popular that it made over 100k EoP faggots mobilize on Reddit. Her biggest controversy, Taiwan yab, made the entirety of South and North Asia become hololive purerists, China too.

Gen 5 - Shit gen that was carried by Botan. Botan would've been a big player had Aloe's yab not muddled their growth in subscriber numbers.

Gamers - Korone carries. She's a Clip machine like Pekora. EoP pandery like Miko. And unique in that she mostly plays retro games.

EN1 - Profited off their superior JP genmates. All their popularity was handed to them on a silver platter. Without Coco, they would all be on Reddit begging for views and subscribers desu~ Kiara is good though.

EN2 - garbage LORE gen. LORE LORE LORE LORE LORE. I fell asleep during their debuts quite honestly. Can't take any of them seriously when their main draw is fairytale mumbo jumbo nonsense.

EN vsinger - Covers golden girl. All her music is payed for by Cover and all her music videos are also paid for by Cover. Other than that, she's pretty decent. Better than EN1 and EN2 combined. Except Kiara though. Kiara is good.

In conclusion; Controversies is the biggest reason why hololive is as popular as it is. Nijisanji please take notes. Ars Almal is starving and needs attention.
