True, changes can occur during the process and the created cells can differ from each other if I'm thinking about this right, but afaik it's still not really possible to take two cells after mitosis, point at one of them and say that it's the original one. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong on this though, I'm a programmer not a biologist.
