Holy fucking retard, take meds. The witch wizard thing changes which dorm you're in. If you mistakengly make a female character and pick wizard, you'll be in the boys dorm. Which is obviously not what a japanese woman who didn't even understand the question wants. Make it clear. Do not make it confusing. I don't care that you can make a tranny in the game, I don't care that you can make a male character and sleep with the women, it does not bother me in any way, but it shouldn't happen by mistake, and it does happen by mistake because not every person buying this game across the globe is up to date with american internet drama.
Witch/Wizard works for the autistic obsession with avoiding the words "female/male" that the west is going through right now, but 魔女/魔法使い is not as obvious, as you can see by the streamers and chat's reactions. Only people who either played themselves or are more in tune with this kind of thing can come in and elucidate the meaning. It shouldn't be unclear.
They could keep the male/female initial option but let you turn your character into whatever through the customization options, like how there are no gender exclusive hair types in Bloodborne or whatever, but they're going out of their way to deny reality, resulting in confusing information.
