detroit style is pretty good but it's a little too much bread for my liking. also anyone saying deep dish is the "chicago style" is a retarded tourist, the most eaten chicago style is a thin (but not too thin) crust, sometimes called tavern style, that is cut into squares. deep dish is a once in a while thing.
there are lots of different ways to do deep dish as well, lou malnatis does it best IMO because it doesnt flood the fucking slices with 10 pounds of cheese and sauce like giordanos or some other shit place, it's a nice balance with the crisp, chewy crust, nicely sized sweet tomato chunks and savory cheese
