I just did, the ublock filter is currently not up to date and the nagware still gets through. It's fine though, I watch everything through mpv these days anyways, I'm honestly relieved chat isn't blocked.

They're rolling it out selectively, only certain people get it. YouTube does this all the time, A/B testing the waters to see if people revolt.

Also if you want to try mpv for streams, I recommend this config as a baseline. You can get more in depth with the video quality parts of it and there are a lot of guides on how to do that but profile=high-quality seems good enough for me. The rest is all adjustments on handling stream buffering so it doesn't give up after 2s of no video, plus using your browser cookies for membership streams.
