I am not, and was never, suggesting that there aren't advantages and disadvantages.

I'm saying that the problem isn't male vs female. That is a simplistic way to look at it.

The difference is gendered, but not the way you're assuming. The problem is that women, on average, have better social sensibilities that translate well to streaming content when you remove the physical shortcuts that cause lazy women to do well. Therefore, the top few % of women who make waves will be, on average, larger than the top % of men who do well by a little bit. At the small sample sizes we're looking at here, the difference looks huge.
There are tons of women who aren't in those top % of performing quality who don't make it either, after all. They aren't getting magical boosts just by being female... because they just aren't very good.

Blaming the audience and accusing them of being, effectively, sexist is stupid projection. The general audience has no problem with male Vtubers, they just want to be entertained.

The small minority of weirdos who want an unhealthy and sad parasocial pseudo-relationship with vtubers are the only ones who reject male vtubers out of hand. If you think that's the norm, you're probably just projecting hard.

Besides, this is a hopeful message people should be happy to hear. You aren't being discriminated against! The disadvantage can be overcome if you just work a little harder! People don't hate you for the circumstances of your birth!

Honestly, you dorks will do anything possible to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, I swear.
