Oh I wasn't making a story, just setting a scene but what.

You haven't seen shore in months when a seadog shouts out from the crows nest "Ah, there she blows." You peer out as best as you can with the sea mist blowing on your face like sandpaper. There is it, a big one. A sperm whale. The Captain orders you to get on what is called a ship's boat, think of it like a rowboat and you are given a harpoon and others spears to kill the beast. Waves aren't as bad as they were, but still rock your little boat so you feel like you are spinning in ciircles. You get close to the whale and shoot your harpoon into her. She cries in pain and the chase begins as the beast drags you around for 15 minutes before she dies. Now you take the whale back to the boat and use every single piece of her for something, it is a long process but its part of how you make a living. Every single piece of that whale has a purpose, from the bones to its flesh. That's the life of a whaler. Not a pretty life and dangerous but profitable back in the day. Pic related.
