It's not ruined. You're not giving a reward to someone who bet on both heads and tails, since that person is receiving nothing.
Think about it - let's say that there's a heads or tails bet, and there's 9 million betted on heads and 4 million betted on tails so far. You bet on both with 1 million.
Now, if heads win, you would take 10% of the pot, so 1.5 million. If tails win, you'd take 20% of the pot, so 3.0 million.
However, you paid 2 million to bet. If heads win, you will lose 0.5 million, and if tails win, you'll effectively win 1 million.

Now, let's say that you just bet on tails, 0.5 million. If heads win, you lose that 0.5 million... but if tails win, then you get 1/9th of the pot, so 1 million. Huh, those are some familiar numbers, aren't they?

That's because betting on /all/ options at once is exactly the same as making a smaller bet on one or several of the options and outs you as a mathlet. It holds your liquid while the same effective bet could be made with less money.

Let's go further with this analogy, actually. With a coin flip, there's a 1/2 chance of either heads or tails. Factor that into account, and you'll see that an isolated bet of 1 million has an expected value of (gains) * (heads chance) - (losses) * (tails chance) = 0.4m * 50% - 1.0m * 50% = -0.3m, while an isolated 1m bet on tails here has an expected value of 1.8 * 50% - 1.0m * 50% = 0.4m.

This means that if you're able to roughly assess the chance of an event and see the ratio of other bets, you can bet on the undervalued option seeing a chance to profit. Betting isn't ruined, you simply don't understand what you're doing.

I think Mori's music is really good and her rapping is fine, but does anyone else wish she would just do alt/indie pop or rock instead? She has a beautiful singing voice. She already does verse rap and then sings in her choruses but I kind of wish she'd cut back on rapping and just sing mostly.
