I had expectations based on lore, concept, ideas and unfilled niches. It's not that such VTubers don't exist. They actually do. Kaneko Lumi from CyberLive is literally what saved people from turning into owl-antis. She plays strategy games, isn't a cutesy airhead, enjoys literature and learning about foreign cultures and can sperg out about history at any moment. She's also willing to learn any language she has to in order to be correct. Just to be correct. "I'm a min-maxer at heart". So, disappointed owlbros, if you're feeling down, just visit that blonde. Quite a lot of anons are actively shilling for her inside and outside of /vt/.

It's not her fault, I never said it was. It's mostly Cover's fault. I honestly feel like this civilization theme was forced upon her. Given how she just had done research on things she probably had some time to look at I can't say it's what someone passionate about something would do.
But it isn't mine either. I *just* had justified expectations because I wanted to see something I haven't seen and it wasn't impossible. Especially since I found someone who actually filled these expectations and much more.

It's not an obsession, it's just how Owl's theme would've gone very well with history, culture and strategy games. It lured in quite a lot of people, me included.
And since the Owl didn't deliver... We, on hopium delirium, had to search for something else, that's how I found Lumi. Those who like that cutesy airhead stood there for good, some moved on, some switched to Lumi like me, some find both appealing.
Simply put history is a niche yet to be disclosed. Many are waiting, but corporates don't find it interesting enough. Saddly. And history goes great with strategy games. At least in theory, because most of them are merely set in some historical setting.
