Alright quick zomboid update! So I managed to get the steam version to run and connect through it through there both as admin and as a client I also used the admin tools to build a safety fence around the starting building I may remove this down the line while the server is running when anons are used to the game.

I decided to run a test by reconfiguring the server to be non-steam, and using the -nosteam command and setting the server to be non-steam so non-steam clients can connect... The problem is doing this means steam users will have to also use the manual method of mod-installation it seems, as it'll draw them mods from your C:\Users\[USERNAME]\Zomboid\mods folder instead of having workshop integration. There's no compromise because if steam integration is on, non-steam users cannot connect to the server. So I'm going to manually put all the mods into a compiled folder, and upload it then go out quick and get some groceries and something to eat for dinner. The good thing about this is I can test the pirate version simultaneously, as it'll basically be the same set-up. Once I can connect through the test, I will finish the write-up pastebin and post it!

she's doing a members watchalong but to answer your question /nijien/ has always been the rosebud general since they don't have a split thread.
lazulight have their own split, ethyria have their own split, petra-anya and dragoons have their splits, but rosebuds are always here. they did try to experiment with /rose/ for a while but it got killed by unicorns and schizophrenics.
