Exactly. There's this huge movement in the 'content creation' community that you're completely getting raped in the ass if no one is paying you. The "Fuck you, Pay me" mentality. Naturally this only applies for commissions. Like you're not obligated to make music for Ame if she asks for it for free. It's reasonable to want payment for your work. HOWEVER, these twitter creators have twisted that shit all up to where they have a chip on their shoulder if they make fan art and it happens to get used as content by the original IP owner with credit. Its bordering on sonichu levels of entitlement.
