When i wrote / planned it out, it was a reasonable decision since the yab had only just happened and we were already in the "speed of plot" timeline. Assuming the graduation to happen in the current era was a perfectly sensible decision then.
Also, ill state for the record that for me, Ruminarep's preference takes priority over mine, ill just need to figure out some workarounds and adapt.

The adjusted dates were put there because some existing lore and lore plans needed the graduation to happen in 1110s. Also, because the speed of plot started before Rushia Graduation.
Now, I do think ruminarep's preference takes precedence, but unless there are workaround this might fuck people over a bit. me in particular

A very unique and interesting take. The trinity representation works amazing with Rusha/Michaelcat/Nazuna. Unfortunately i need to get going soon but ill read the rentry with more attention later on.
However, I do have questions. How would you reconcile this with threads who were quite friendly or welcoming toward fandeads, particularly holopantheon following ones?

I should probably do something similar for us. Although the nation has been quite peaceful for most of its history, some events like the Party Wars or the Tempus conflict have spilled over a bit.

There are some civil wars too, and ofc, there is the eternal corporate cold war between the massive conglomerates

It is also the new years day for nasfaqg. For us, the first season of the year is Winter, Second is Spring, Third is Summer, and 4th and last one is Autumn. (its reversed because we are on the southern hemisphere)

Various other celebrations exist, most of them religious ones on the day's of each deities.

How's everyone? What are you working on?

I've been working on nasfaqg economy rentry for about two weeks now and it will take more time.
I did manage to get the primary sector ready and am currently working on the secondary sector (light industry to be precise) and im starting to feel like ive bitten more than i can swallow, not due to the difficulty of the task, but due to the sheer volume of things i need to read and write about.
but if i get this done, it will likely be the most in-depth economy rentry yet, i feel quite proud of it so far

Also, I would like to apologize to alice for not yet continuing my chapter on the story, ive been busy stressing about uni and stuff, and writing actual prose is way more stressful and energy-consuming than researching industry is, so i haven't been able to do that much at all lately.

Do tell us.
But for nasfaqg, keep in mind that we dont really have universal "allies", although we do share a common enemy so that could be used as justification for why nasfaqg would want to help /risu/ fortify.
We are extremely eager to trade though, and if this trade helps /risu/ fortify, all the better.

The Serene Republic shall not be an ally in the military sence, but we do want to be equal business partners with /risu/ (economic allies, if you will). You buy, we sell, you sell, we buy, we both shoot big guns at pirates and watamelon and then return home to drink and fuck. Good partnership.

Oh, Edelweiss Co. (the one described in the "Visit to Sabatangan") is definitely an ally of /risu/ and would gladly answer the call if needed, but this particular company is not that rich as far as nasfaqg companies go.
We could have their shipyard pump out a few more battle-fit ships, or you could commission some other company in the serene republic for that.
OH! And Chronobanks Co. is Allied with /infinity/, so you could probably pull us in too if need be. Allies of infinity are naturally friends to the company. That company is obscenely wealthy and could probably provide you with a ton of funding (ideally in partnership with /infinity/).

I was thinking it could be a could be a mixture of cultures, but that is fine too.
My idea was that perhaps the island was inhabited and deserted multiple times in its history, with each subsequent civilization building at top the ruins of the previous ones. The deeper you dig the older and more bizarre ruins you find. Also, now retroreich and the Serene Republic would be the current "civilization" on the island, meaning that in the Era After universe or some other future timeline, our ruins could be discovered by some future archaeologists

However, the new(er) guys have contributed a lot to the project, and the world feels much more alive thanks to them, even though with more life it has also become more stressful.
If it meant losing their contributions to the project, I would not want to trade them to get back the earlier more comfy threads.

You know, I dont think teleportation of the photons should be the answer, I think moving or bending them works way better. Besides, photons move so fast there is no reason to use teleportation instead of just conventionally moving them there.

>>31931204
Freezing photons is a bit of a no, you could slow them down considerably though.
>>31931546
this could work

but if you want the photons trick, here is how I'd do it from the physics perspective, step by step
I do not know if this all would be possible in the magic system, or what would be needed for it to work.

>1.
The glyphs are activated, and the glyphs create a "bubble" around the ship. Part of the photons that hit the bubble get slowed down by a lot, but not entirely stopped. The photons are trapped in the bubble and move with it, and the bubble moves with the ship
>an outsider will see the ship become less saturated, and perhaps a bit transparent. (as in, seeing the scenery behind the ship, not seeing inside the ship) Probably not noticeable unless you know what you are looking for.
>those aboard the ship will see the rest of the universe behave the same way, become less saturated and so on.
>2.
After enough photons have been collected, a second set of glyphs is activated, this untethers the previous bubble from the ship and creates a new one. This new bubble is completely reflective on the inside, meaning that the photons sent off by the ship bounce inside of the bubble. On the outside the bubble is either reflective or transparent or it bends light in a way that it allows the photons coming from behind the ship to travel through and around the bubble.
The first bubble starts to decay, releasing its photons.
>an outsider will see the ship slow down, and perhaps stop. They are now only seeing the first bubble and the photons that were trapped in it being released. As time passes, the visage of the ship becomes less and less saturated and more and more transparent.
>what an outsider is seeing is a replay of of what the ship did during the "charging" period (step 1), but with the movement of the bubble.
You probably could have the bubble move on its own a bit, perhaps in a different direction than the ship was, so the mechanic could be a bit more powerful.
>those aboard the ship will see the world as if they were inside a box made of mirrors. Its completely dark unless the ship has lights.
>3.
The new bubble is destroyed, revealing the ship again.
>an outsider will see the ship appear again in a new location where it was not previously. The visage of the ship may or may not still be around.

I say no to teleportation.

Also, I miss cunt.

Thanks for explaining the retro chuubanite and giving your opinions.

If we push for the island, lets go with the ancient ruins idea then shall we?

As for the story, i have some ideas for it now so give me an onobot and possibly those immediately surrounding him during his stay in the Serene Republic. Ill make him the sort-of-main-character for the story. I hope i'll have the willpower to write it soon and the ability to make it entertaining.
I'll fill the rest of the exploration party with locals, the onobot will be the only one to survive with his mind intact. His other possible friends in the serene republic will not take part in the expedition itself, but they may be referenced.

Im sorry to everyone for being so behind on reading. Ive been here since thread 1 and I still havent read some of the more "foundational" works in here like Melisende or Pomerlane saga.
I also try to give feedback where I can, although usually I do that completely anonymously.

>>31761075
Ooh thats a difficult one. Honeslty it probably depends a lot on the plutocrat in question. A deadbeat may want to build his mansion according to Moriji architecture, same with plutocrats of other ethnicities.

In general, nasfaqg is going for a victorian england aesthetic, so I suppose our buildings would be built out of bricks, both stone and clay. Some cast iron, wrought iron, and glass would be used as well, but more sparingly given that the nation is quite poor on natural mineral resources. As far as natonal motifs or symbols go, The Crab is seen as a symbol for the nation on some level, and was used on a historical flag as well.

Other than above, I haven't really thought much of the national motifs or aesthetics of nasfaqg. The above were mostly our rep's ideas anyways.

>>31762042

Mad? no, never, but I have to admit, /mep/ spreading into /risu/ and "replacing" infinity has caused me some worry since I really like the risu-infinity dynamic, but I havent done any schizoing. I've voiced concerns (which were mostly born out of misunderstandings, I'm an esl autist afterall) which has unfortunately attracted schizos on occasion, and I suppose i could have handled that situation way better, and for that I'm very sorry. I've also taken your side on things, lately during the short-lived Commodus episode.

Never did I intend to cause unnecessary pain to you, and if my actions have led to that I am really sorry. I have nothing against you or your nation and I would not want to see you or anyone for that matter leave the project.

Ideally I'd want to work with you too, but I dont know how and I'm already swamped in vtwbg related things, and my university is continuing soon so i'll have even less time.

Good afternoon, vtwbg! Hope your projects are going well!

Really good work there. Now I know what subspecies the few risuner's I've written would be.

Do you think there would be reason for there to be a nasfaqg subspecies of risuners? Who have adapted to be cunning and beautiful as they have needed to negotiate, charm, and fuck their way up the social hierarchy of the serene republic.

We do have native risuners, that is for certain, I'm just wondering if they could be another subspecies or just the existing risuner species.

>>31714352
The bellows are made of saplings.......
I like your way of writing lore, as if they were excerpts from some in-universe books. Gives a nice additional layer o the lore written, and makes it feel a bit more immersive. Especially so if you manage to fake a certain style of writing for different in-universe authors. I've got one in mind myself for nasfaqg, but I dont know how to begin writing about him. All I have is a name, Ernest Heiminway, and he would indeed be a heimin living in the Serene Republic, who has made his small fortune through writing.

Unfortunately I don't know much about metalworking so I cant give feedback on the described methods. I do like the idea of chuubanite furnaces and have thought of using something similar in nasfaqg too.

>>31717269
>voice concerns
You took the islands, even though that issue was supposed to be voted on later. Now I personally am fine with you having them, I'd just like some islands of my own too, ideally shared with retrobro.
Did i miss the post where a decision was made because I cant seem to remember seeing one. I thought it was up to vote later on. Correct me if im wrong.
On the doc thing, go ham, I'm already using direct comms with our rep when I bounce ideas off of him or ask him to proofread my writing. I have no idea why people are feeling alarmed about that. Helps the thread really, when you dont have to fill it with partially formed ideas (unless you specifically want to).

>>31719154
If you have any ideas, you can try bouncing hem off of the thread, share some of them and ask for feedback. I think a good first step is to form a vague general idea of what your nation is like, are they culturally, religiously, or ethnically unified, what type of a government they have (if they have a government), and how they interact with outsiders. Oh, and whether you'll have them lean more towards the magic or the tech side of things.

I now understand how rationing works. Thanks vespiebro

Also, i read your lore document, save for the few typos, its looking good. I really like the 4 different tribes of people, especially since that allows for more nuanced interaction with /mans/, as certain nations would probably get along better with some of the tribes over others. Nasfaqg specifically I could see having good relations with vesties, as the two are not only similar, but also Vesper seems to be the most popular of Tempus in the nasfaqg community so there is a meta reason for it as well.

I know i may be getting ahead of myself but I cant help but think of the possible interactions we could have.

The entire community, me included, tried to beat him in trading just a month or two back, but couldn't even come close. Triangle is too powerful, he has mastered the secrets of the market.

That sounds like a super fun story to be honest, I'd be interested in participating if I'm allowed to.

The nations less advanced than /nasa/ could still try to find the /nasa/ ruins just to decipher what happened and where did all their friends go.

Don't know where to archive. The stories mostly concern nasfaqg, but these ships and their building are fundamentally connected to /risu/. If a Tri-fleet S2 is coming, I'd personally see these best treated as unofficial prequels to that, assuming the ships make it and they are accepted.
>>30367570
Remember the ship deal? I finally could get it done. I had to drop writing a short story for each ship, but I have included some lore for all of them in the report.
Also, Im happy i could write about some of the superstitious and ceremonial aspects of the Serene Republic.

https://rentry.org/gfh9e

I recall Moriji agreeing to selling the cannons to the company so they could put them on the ship for /risu/, but if this is no longer the case, then the cannons can also come from the Serene Republic or Infinitum whichever is more affordable

Also, I hope I didnt fuck up the timeline. These particular ships, to my understanding, were meant to be constructed for the future /risu/ expeditions, and not the trifleet one. Thus, their construction began shortly after the Tri-fleet was completed.

It took me 4 days of pain to come up with them. A few friends helped me come up with some names so its not all me.

I don't know where to reply this, but we should probably add a threadly reminder for people to BACK UP THEIR WORKS so we dont lose our lore. I've got all of mine saved already, and I have backed up some of the nasfaqg ones too. I'll try to back up others but I cant promise anything.

Also, OHAYO vtwbg. How are your projects coming along?

I see paperclikouhai finally got himself a trip. Hope that ends the falseflagging operation.

For infinity, you can always handwave a bit, justify things with magic. Morig chuubanite already has a cooling effect, infnity chuubanite could have it as well, chuubanite effects, especially general ones like that, do not have to be exclusive.

Thus, the eruption released a massive amount of infinity chuubanite that then cooled down the area for a long time. Subsequent smaller eruptions kept the area cold for centuries.

Borg cube is the range of the magical effect. Foreign ships could avoid it due to not wanting to deal with volatile magics.

Everyone else, morning, how are you this fine day?
