Anyone who hasn't worked in Japan doesn't know that Japanese never fire their workers. Firing is too severe for them. The worse that happens is that a naughty worker gets a timeout in the corner and isn't invited to drinking parties. This is usually a subtle enough hint that workers will voluntarily quit most of the time. Coco understood this because she's Japanese. There's no way that a dense American like Calli will understand any subtle clues from management to quit because Americans are proud of their laziness and treat less work as a reward.

I don't really care about American bashing per se because they deserve their fair share of hate but this is why I can't take any of her critiques seriously. Going after low-hanging fruits instead of the government that enabled the people that almost ruined an innocent woman's life like herself.
