Hey now, Mushishi is legitimately good shit.

I did not like him at first but I work nights and he was often one of the only people streaming anything I cared to watch during that timeslot. Over time, I caught brainrot and now I just watch him as part of my schedule. It isn't apparent at first how much of a lame freak he is, and that is unironically why I like him so much. Dude does not give a fuck, and it's refreshing in a world of people who try so hard to fit into a niche or a brand. He's just out here doing whatever, and it is hard not to find him endearing for it. As well, he is a pretty sincere person if you really watch -- in collabs he is subtle but effective at making sure everyone gets a chance to speak, reigning in the louder people and encouraging the quieter ones, he has older brother vibes when you least expect it. I will say he can sing, though, dude has a legitimate set of pipes. I can't wait for him to start playing ToTK because I think it's going to unlock heretofore unseen levels of autism in that highlighter noggin of his. He's a fun, weird little man.

Otsonny!! At last, a POV for zomboid...it's so much nicer when I don't have to watch for him like a cryptid. I think the collab was fairly fun last night, I agree with the sentiment /here/ that it gets a little tiring when people join and don't give a shit about the game but that aside there were some really good moments. And sonny... had some bad luck. From the get-go I was glad he was starting off with PTT so he could try and have a better balance between chat interaction and talking with others. That kinda fell off once he switched to voice activity later on, but with a five hour collab I'll cut him some slack. First leg of this stream was a bit aimless (typical for zomboid at this point), but sonny was more than happy to get back in the kitchen and make plenty of sushi for the group. He really likes cooking... it's nice they now have some more established rations with fishing and farming and whatnot. It was pretty funny just watching them chilling around the fire, elira and aia are both so easy to make laugh (aia in tears over sonny's bowl cut..) and there's just something really fucking funny about sonny's interactions with shu; shu's such an unintentionally hilarious guy and when they get together it's like two autistic stoners. The fucking part when shu was telling him about the ways he died earlier and walks off to rejoin the others and you can distantly hear "I GOT BIT" right after, incredible stuff. After sonny's first of many deaths that night, he soon got tired trying to wrangle the group and went off on an adventure to the logging co. by himself, and the rest of the collab for him was an incredible mess he just could not seem to pull himself out of. Successfully get to the building, get a little greedy, get lost in the fog, fucking die, that about sums up the rest of it. The second time he went out ver ended up trailing behind like a lost puppy (I'm not sure whether to say "villions your oshi..." or praise him for at least trying to get involved), sonny tried to protect his kouhai but uh... it didn't end so well. More attempted expeditions followed with various other groups, and when back at base for some downtime sonny futilely tried to shoo everyone out of his home. ...But look who made soup! I do kind of sympathize with albanians, alban's role means he's more prone to babysitting while sonny doesn't handhold to that extent, he'll be a rough guide or give stuff to others but will be off doing his own thing otherwise which is probably why I wasn't feeling that frustration as much. Slowly, the number of people in the server dwindled... I know a couple people were off doing their own thing while sonny was with krisis, but even the former group logged off soon enough. I fucking forget what sonny was even helping Wilson with in the end, he went out a couple more times by himself and KEPT LOSING CARS in some amazingly terrible stroke of luck. Soon enough, snow started to fall which was strangely eerie, the server felt so quiet now that the cacophony of voices from much earlier had disappeared. This game definitely nails atmosphere when it wants to. Our ending was very dramatic, with our infected friends taking turns mercy killing each other in the corner of a shed before they turned. Sonny forcing zali to take him out and then logging off right after... kino. I can't say this was the most productive collab which is kind of unfortunate, but since I was able to watch sonny I still had fun nonetheless. We'll have to see how the winter treats everyone, eh?

A few hours later was our second installment of A Study in Scarlet, which was also fun. Today we wrapped up our mystery, then moved onto part 2 for some background (Sonny, I have a feeling we're not in London anymore). I rather enjoyed sherlock's backhanded comments during gregson's overconfident analysis and the dramatic way in which the entire investigation concluded. Part 2 has quite a different feel to it, huh? While our main protagonists are nowhere to be found thus far, it's interesting nonetheless. Sonny's narration is still nice to listen to as ever, even when he was stumbling a bit over some of the more archaic words and sentences today. And of course his commentary is good as well; I'm grateful he does little summaries sometimes since my reading retention isn't great, and I've been really entertained by his reactions to the absurdities of the mormon church. Made it to the end of chapter three today, leaving the rest for next time. What will become of Lucy and John? How will those familiar names connect back to the murders in the present day? I look forward to another stream soon so we can get to the bottom of all this, it's very suspenseful. Thank you for the fun streams, sonny! Congrats @ noctyx on the figures! We'll have to see how the actual prototypes look, but it's really cool to finally have some proper merch... hopefully the little guys won't hurt my wallet. Sleep well, love you too muah~ See you tomorrow for the return to SF6! o7
