Back in the days the gap between the "haves" and the "have nots" was huge, with the former having access to all luxuries in the world and the later, not so much.
These days, even a SanFran hobo can afford to own a smartphone that is as functional and powerful as the richest CEO in the world.
The only way to enjoy any kind of exclusivity is through artificial limitation on the supply AND through making cheap things to be unaffordable through price hikes.

That's pretty much prevalent in the vtuber industry, there is no difference between a red superchat and a blue superchat except in the artificial boundary put by the (some) vtubers

One of the funniest things of this Minecraft arc is that it is just a rehash of their greatest hits, but with new characters added to the mix.
