Most JPs with few exceptions are generally inoffensive. Simply not understanding the language is part of this perception in en audiences, but of course is not the only reason and there are more objective factors as well.

Pretty much every EN talent in every big outfit attracts a share of schizos and antis, though there are some exceptions. In holoen most people get along with Mumei, while in nijien Selen is also someone who doesn't really breed drama.

I think 'size to hate ratio' is another factor to consider. For example, Gura is the biggest figure this side of the Pacific in vtubing, and thus in absolute terms you will also see a lot of shitposting and arguing involving her as a topic; but at the sae rate, she is also a lot better at managing her fame and opsec than many other en girls, but the level of static is not nearly as great as it could *potentially* be.

On that note, something else to consider is that the worst possible streamers in the world, never get notable enough to be in a conversation in the first place. There is a certain kind of 'sweet spot' when it comes to controversy, where you have to be good enough to get yourself into the picture in the first place, while being divisive in other ways. Cases that are totally unambiguous or inarguable likewise don't occasion argument. Id est, it is precisely those situations where there are redeeming qualities or extenuating circumstances, where a cursory look would only see things going one way or another, that in turn attract the greatest energies of disputation.
