1. The video is being held for copyright.
We know Selen got direct permission from Lilypichu and the song's producer
We likely know management signed off on the MV ahead of time, because they approved her schedule
That implies a last-minute copyright strike urgent enough to make them private the video
The cover is still up on Bilibili
Selen's tweets (including the "$15k" one) indicate that this problem is permanent and the cover is not coming back. This either discredits this theory, or indicates that she's just acting emotionally right now.
If the issue was as simple as copyright, it would probably have been included in the original tweet.
2. The video is being held because something in the video itself can't be shown
This is likely either the MLP reference, or images of Mysta/Nina.
Other projects have used images of graduated livers before without issue
If it was just specific scenes, couldn't Selen just have these edited out later?
3. Management is intentionally punishing Selen for something
This is potentially Selen "going behind their back" to directly talk to the producer after management failed to get a response via email for a year straight
Or it's Selen too openly alluding to her own graduation in a video, and management didn't realize until the video was posted
Another possibility: Selen jumped the gun on putting this MV out, just to get it out on Christmas, and is being reprimanded for that. But they likely also approved her schedule this week ahead of time, so that's tough to reconcile.

4. Selen is dramatically overreacting to a nothingburger
Maybe one of the above is true and it's a temporary issue, but Selen decided to go completely scorched earth and refused to compromise with management on a solution
There is (debatably) precedent for this from when Selen canceled the Fall Guys tournament instead of compromising. But it's unlikely that she would throw away $15k of work and the efforts of a dozen fanartists in her community for something so petty
