Yes. I fully believe nothing would be lost if Timestop was a hard checkpoint like Cathedral in base game. It already feels it's longer than sum of cathedral+ice+base final tower and almost definitely has more non-maxed jumps than all three combined. Hell, entire cathedral has 5 non-maxed(none of which are extra precise) and 11 maxed jumps.

I know devs supposedly have achievs for speedrunning it but I am pretty sure they've done it with a reference sheet listing all jumps and correct positions for them. I got mad at the game enough that after beating Ghost once I got a key manager to see if the jumps are as fucky in timing as I feel they are. I learned that JK actually has much more than 6 or 7 jump strengths. Base game never really makes you realize it, all jumps there can be categorized into tiny, small, medium, big, almost full, full like Mori words it. Even if you benefit from getting those strengths in between, it always can be amended by position. Ghost is full of absurd bullshit. The pair of almost maxed jumps in Manor on second to last screen of it? It's actually "almost maxed and a tiny bit more". The pair of jumps in Bugstalk Mori keeps fucking up? They have extra weird timing that no other jump uses. Cathouse straight up doesn't make sense with or without the tool due to the way King interacts with lamps. And I'm nearly convinced the way to "salvage" drop on the left from Phantom Tower is an elaborate troll because there's no fucking way to land into the hole and go back into Cathouse, neither through direct jump nor through wall bounce.
