I have no musical training so it's just my opinion, but it is a combination of song selection and delivery. For example: A certain /asp/ie admited she isn't the best singer but her last thematic karaoke was top tier as far as entretainment value goes. There are others who do similar stuff but I wont name them. You know who you are, keep going.

As for progress, well it's a matter of keeping track of number of karaokes and progress. If this person does only one karaoke every three months and sounds identically than the last one, this person did not practice at all.
Being singing such an important part of the vtubing experience you have to wonder what are this person goals in the long run.
I think it is fine to become a vtuber to make friends or whatever but I don't feel like supporting anyone like that. That person is probably happier hanging out with his friends in their chats as well so I rather not join.
If you dream high and it shows, I will be summoned.

A Holo example: Coco practiced so hard for Holofes she made a karaoke almost every week. e. Her drive alone made it worth. You can literally do a before and after and she definetively became a lot better. Her singing has never been the best but I didn't miss a single one of her karaokes.

Why? People are starting to really like the holostars. Having an EN Holostar branch would be highly successful. It would be interesting to see who Cover picks up, what games they play, what style of streams they do, how well they sing, how they act and the collabs between them and the ENs in general.

Why do Holosongs have 0 replay-abliliy? I absolutely love Mori's songs, Heart Challenger, and some JP songs, but there's none that I will actually listen to repeatedly outside of the few days when they're released. The only song I MIGHT go out of my way to listen to is Read Heart
