"No no no, Gura, I'm telling you that's all wrong!" Ayame flails her arms, sitting across from the shark girl at the local diner. Somehow, the conversation had drifted towards economics and investments, and the two had found at very large odds with each-other.

"Who cares! If it makes me some munny what's the big deal?" Gura blows into her straw, her rootbeer foaming up.

"Crypto is just a scam, Gura! It's a psyop by the global jew to distract you away from real, tangible assets that have had value for thousands of years! When the fiat ponzi scheme comes crashing down, all of that fake digital crap is going to 0. Z E R O!" The oni's voice booms through the restaurant, surprising Gura.

"Wait by the global what?" She raises an eyebrow.

"The jew, Gura! In 1912 most of the industrialists fighting against the creation of the Federal Reserve Bank were in the Titanic when it sank; what a great coincidence that not a year later it was made into law isn't it? And then it's just been downhill from there!" She angrily pounds the table. "Look it says right there on the Constitution, OK? ' No state shall make any tthing but gold and silver coin a tender in payment of debts' - it's right there! God's money, Gura. Made from the stellar remnants of dying stars. You think your silly animal coins can compete with that?"

Gura frowns. She pulls out her phone, bringing up her crypto exchange. Her token selection process was entirely based on which community made the funniest memes, and which project had the cutest logo. "Well I guess you have a point but..."

"You can keep doing it if you want but I'm putting all my money into precious metals. Look, our debt is at over 130% of GDP! From this point on each dollar of debt generates less than 10 cents of real growth, Gura, it's just basic economics of diminishing returns. The system is collapsing soon, it can't go on like this forever, and when it comes crashing down people will demand a return to something everyone can trust okay?" Ayame pulls out her prized 1878 Morgan Silver dollar, showing Gura the prized coin.

"Well okay I guess but do you really think people will go back to dealing with coins?" She pushes up her phone. "Everyone pays for stuff with this stuff. Isn't that more convenient?"

"When SHTF and the electrical grid goes down and all communications go down with it do you think your phone will be able to make transactions?" She snots. "No way. And even after we rebuild I'm sure the new currency will be backed by none other than Gold. It's why I'm investing in these mining stocks too, because when it's re-monetized I'll make a killing! It's a leveraged bet on the price of precious metals too!" She chuckles. "All these idiots buying overpriced tech stocks will see what they're really worth when the money printing stops and we're brought back to reality! I've done all the research, at least five hours per company, they're all poised for huge gains."

"Oh senpai you don't believe society is gonna collaaaapse, that's ridiculous!" Gura chuckles, a half of a chicken tender stuck between her lips.

"You can ignore my advice if you want but it's inevitable now... Food riots will break out any time now because of inflation! Investor demand will break the criminal Comex and Gold and Silver's true market value will achieve price discovery. The average bull market in Gold has seen an 8-fold increase in price from bottom to top, and we're still not even at 100% gains!"

"Woah that's pretty cool. But just eightfold? Isn't that too little?... Just last night I made a 24x..."

"There you go with your crypto babble again. This is real money, Gura, it doesn't go up in price overnight like that okay!"
