I'm not worried about the song, like it's something bad happening to Mori (because she has clearly been happy), but knowing it will allude to something that weighed on her makes me a little...anxious? It definitely feels like it's going to be slow and soulful.

When she developed her human form, did she choose to be a woman? Or is her reaper soul already female?

I can understand that. Wanting those who you care about to be in a good place when they're gone.
One of my family's friends, my mother's best friend, is terminally ill and the last few years have been one catastrophe for her after another. To where she was asking "Does God hate me?" and "Did I do something really bad and don't remember?" Last time I saw her she was talking about hoping for something good to come from it.
Death's a part of life so it's natural to hope that something comes after that and there's some kind of reuniting with loved ones or others you've always wanted to meet. Now seeing an avatar representing that fate and she's so kind, it's comforting.
