I never played Apocalypse Weekend so I forgot the brain damage plot thing already had a precedent before Postal: Brain Damaged. I kind of thought of it as them whipping something up on the spot as an excuse to do surreal stuff.

It's a newer "boomer shooter" game by intent so it plays Quake-ish, so there's no open world bits or tasks. The humour is a bit hit and miss, more miss, but it plays decently.
