Yeah... I think the indie trend was great in the 2000's and early 2010's. It brought us some amazing games that we wouldn't have gotten otherwise.
But now its starting to become a hinderance as the market is flooded with so many games. Its hard for indies who put a lot of effort in their games to get noticed in the crowd.

I think its pretty much what I mentioned here: >>7197398. People are subconsciously tired of the same old shit over and over again. So when someone does something new its hyped. And as I mention in my paragraph above, indies don't get noticed nowadays so change has to come from big name studios.
