It's not about fans being in "love" with you or anything like that. It's just kinda disrespectful as an entertainer to subject your fans to things that should be kept private. Vtubers are basically virtual hostesses, they work primarily for tips and they get those tips through making their fans feel cared for in the moment, even though everyone involved knows it's just her job. Anyone in that kinda industry would tell you to leave your sex life out of your interactions with customers, when you're on the job you're supposed to treat the customer as if they are the focus of your attention. The JP branch understands this, many of them are married or have relationships outside of Nijisanji, but none of that matters while they're streaming since their focus is making their audience happy.

No one is asking Enna or the rest of NijiEN to not date, just to keep that shit out of their streams because it's low-effort content that appeals to only the lowest most subhuman gossip-obsessed viewers who also get off to watching trashy shit like 90 day fiance and real housewives. Hell we know for a fact some members are currently in relationships and yet they get 0 hate from the community the way Enna does, because they keep that shit private and focus their streams on their audience.
