Nah, I think Zen might've seen how the sketch was progressing and told her to stop, and instead used it as the basis for when she approached the robot artist that was responsible for the upcoming Z3N model (which would later get the 2D made by Yuuni as well).
There's a lot of similarities between them, so I wouldn't exactly say it went unused
