That was more Nyan being Nyan and coming up with an interesting thing to do as a stream. Plus the fact that the vid that went along with it was short probably helped with getting it out on time. Funny enough she was supposed to be a big part of the next story arc ( the teaser with her reading a tome and then Mata's home planet getting destroyed by an eldritch creature) but then she left.

I think even Merry and his staff got tired of the lore videos. Especially when they had to be thrown into the trash mid development because of contract disputes.
