Honestly I thought the joke was in really bad taste. The materialistic, money-loving side of her always put me off. And the sheer amount of people's reactions being essentially "Yeah that's true lol. I'm a paypig lol" I find even worse. Like, don't you have any self respect?
That being said, I'm not gonna stop watching her over this. If I dropped everyone I didn't see eye to eye with on every issue, I wouldn't have any friends. As materialistic as she may be, I really can't see her as someone who would actually see her fans as nothing more than walking banks. I believe she really does appreciate us all, she just made a lame joke.
Besides, I can genuinely say that Ame has been a positive element in my life as it was the desire to make an animation or more realistically, a slideshow with audio of her that got me to try learning to draw again. Not gonna let one bad joke get in the way of my motivation train.
