Yeah, pretty much. When streaming started catching on more, a lot of women discovered that they could just set up titty cams and get loads of cash and simps for it to the point "twitch thots" became a common thing. If you heard a man say he streamed on twitch you wouldn't blink, if you heard a woman say it there was always that thought in the back of your head

It got to the point any female streamer was looked down on because they were assumed to be that kind of streamer, everyone who wanted actual entertainment went to men and didn't even think about trying a woman's stream, while all the coomers who'd shit talk you for not showing cleavage went to the women's because that's exactly what they wanted. That's why Twitch viewers is so hostile to women, they aren't the ones to blame, the women made everyone hostile to them by being revolting laughingstocks. I can guarantee the people who are most pissed about it too are the women who actually want to do it seriously, who actually want to be taken seriously but are doomed by the other women making their entire gender look like whores and prostitutes. The number one enemy of women is always other women.
The worst part is with vtubers I could actually see that kind of soft reset, where people saw Gura sing, Mori make music, Ina make good art, and people were actually interested in the foreign idea that women could stream something other than their asses or stir shit by making drama. The thought they might become like normal male streamers with their own subtle feminine feeling to it got people interested. The fact that it takes more effort to be ugly as a vtuber even helped, when everyone's hot no one is, so personality and their real entertainment value mattered more.
