Not the same thing as Vtubers/streamers. You follow an artist for her art, not because of her character as you don't even get to interact with her, while you follow a Vtuber for her character and not her art.
With an artist your resources that you spend on her are getting a return in her art, so no cuckoldry there. With a Vtuber the things that you spend on her be it money, views, comments, support and more importantly your time are all for you to get in return her time entertaining you by talking about random things and playing video games. In other words: you're getting the friendship experience.
