It breaks the idol - fan dynamic quite a bit, but being borderline parasocial with your chat or assigning it some characteristics instead of approaching it as an amorphous blob does wonders for your engagement. Just take a look at Jowol or a chuubas orbiter like Nagzz. They have it down to a science.
