Kay I thought of a way.
There's a site called "apexlegendsstatus.com" that tracks players stats, rank, etc. that you can follow them on. It lets you keep up with other players and horse race with them if you're like me.
I have multiple Holos and Stars bookmarked on the site, though it gets hard to do sometimes because their names don't always work with the search. I had Regis, Magni and Vesper bookmarked and was trying to find Axel but couldn't get him. Their names all lined up, and they were a part of the club only they could join as seen here letting me know they were legit.
The account I know for a fact was Magni's has changed his name.
Names are tracked on steam, if you change them people can see the old names you've used. There's no way to stop that, there's no way to reverse it. The linked Origin account has also changed name. If you know what name to search you can find his account, it's still part of the club for now so it's easy to identify the real one as they haven't kicked him from it yet.
He's not coming back.
