It's a different thing for women as everyone knows they rely on their looks to grab views when in 3D. But when they're vtubers they're relying on their entertainment ability, as every single avatar is perfectly good looking so it's not like their looks are an asset that makes them standing out above the rest. Yeah people have differences in tastes like maybe they don't like lolis like Gura or their rigging/model is shit, but it's not as impactful as it would be in 3D. All they have to do is be entertaining. Name an objectively ugly popular 3D female streamer, you just can't.
