I know not how many days have passed since our group ventured down below the surface, into the negative levels of the tower. Neither do I know how many levels we progressed downwards. Time down here has no meaning, follows no pattern. It could be weeks, it could be months, it could be mere hours. Eternity and Instants, interwined and simultaneously. And it all is filled with the Absence of Haato.
I vaguely remember her being gone for 28 days when our group went out in search of her. While I'm still here, clinging to the fragments of her voices in my head, my comrades are gone. Some killed by unspeakable creatures, some gave in to dark rumours and had to be put down for their own good. Alone, but determined, I will continue my search. Visions of a sacred well, and the two pig godesses slumbering in its shallow waters entered my mind. The very bottom of this cursed structure is my sole destination; reaching it, my sole purpose. I may return with her, or never again..
