Because the game already has a pretty high TTK, there doesn't need to be an active buyback option into life.
>Everyone has 175-200 effective HP at most points in a match, 150 at the very start
>Most guns tend to take about 2-3 seconds of sustained, accurate fire to gun someone down from full
>Besides the care package Kraber, even snipers take 2-3 consecutive headshots to bring someone down from full immediately
>At any point when people get shot they almost immediately scramble into cover or retaliate
>if you don't knock someone down after they get to cover in under 5 seconds, they can recover 50-125 HP (as shields) from a single shield battery
>If you wait even longer they can heal back however much health damage they took under their shields
>Once knocked down their teammates have a full minute to pick them back up, and they have a knockdown shield that can soak up a fair bit of damage while they crawl to cover
>If they're killed their teammates have a full minute to pick up their banner and respawn them via dropship anyway

The only times you'll really die is if you lost a close range engagement and the enemy specifically wanted you dead, or if you were running across a wide open space like an idiot. And even in the latter case, the enemy is at risk of getting shot themselves while they're busy whittling your knockdown shield, so you only really get picked off if pushed way past your teammates anyway.
If you died early and somehow got timed out, either your team ran away from the fight entirely and you got picked off, or you ran in like an idiot into a position too defended to push into.
